Meet Samantha

You can call me crazy but after posting a question on my Facebook page asking people to help me choosing my sourdough starter name I actually started talking to it (yes, that’s what you understood, talking to the starter) calling her every day with one of the different lovely names that were suggested to see which one she liked best.

I think she loved all suggestion.  She was bubbly to be called Stella, she found Emilie very classy and was very honoured to be called Wanda.  She was a bit confused to be called Puss though (sorry Ian), she thought I was talking to my cat Preta.   

For the sake of the democracy, as it was decided by a “massive” :-) 3 votes, I officially named her Wanda.    

Suddenly…  Two days ago, 4 new votes appeared like magic for Samantha  and I found out my baby sister was making a campaign among her friends to have it named after her.  

In spite of the questionable dodgy way of obtaining the votes I decided to rename it to Samantha. 

Let’s face it:  it is not every day that you see someone so excited about having a bacterial cultured named after her. 

And After all…  I can see the resemblance.  What do you think?
