Easy Chocolate Brownie

Easy Chocolate Brownie
I am not going to say this is the best Chocolate Brownie you ever had but I will say that is the easier chocolate brownie recipe ever.

This easy brownie recipe is perfect for when you have to whip up a last minute dessert because besides being easy breezy is made with ingredients that you always have in your pantry.

Easy Chocolate BrownieI have been using it for many years now and it was from a recipe book inspired by a Brazilian Soap Opera named "Chocolate com Pimenta"(Chocolate with Chillies).     Originally it was actually served sprinkled with Chilli powder - not every bodies cup of tea I know but It really gives it a surprisingly interesting touch.

Today we gonna keep it simple and serve it while it is still hot with a generous ice cream ball.  Let's the bake begin.

Author: From the Book Chocolate com Pimenta
Ingredients
  • 6 tbs butter ( about 85g)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 egg whites lightly beaten
  • 4 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C
  2. Line baking paper in a 20x20 baking tin
  3. Place the butter in a large bowl and melt it in the microwave.
  4. Stir in all other ingredients mixing well.
  5. Spoon the mixture into a 20 cm-square cake tin lined with non-stick baking paper.   It is a very thick dough, you have to press with wet fingers so it covers the whole tin.
  6. Bake for 30-35 min until set (it should be still a bit soft and will set better when is cool).
  7. Serve while still warm
